Tajikistan bus stop...need I say more?
Where honking is a language of its own, and crossing the street is like playing the game frogger, remember that! A vibrant city that truly never sleeps with one of the best cuisines hands down, and unconditional hospitality that will leave you with a smile ear to ear -- I'm referring to Lahore, the "Pearl of Punjab". Yes that's right, the city that is near and dear to me and where my childhood days included playing in the narrow alleys and eating some good ol' gol gappay. Once you have tried them, you will be forever indebted.
One hot summer day all that changed and before I knew it, I landed in New York. Culture shock would be an understatement.
After completing my MBA, I worked in the private sector as a marketing manager handling public relations, event planning, and international relations. A big part of my heart lies in volunteering, especially in promoting education for underprivileged children and women. Help make a donation by visiting the bazaar.
During travels, I enjoy the everyday moments of conversing with locals and hearing their life stories. As a nomad, photography is an art that I adore and it naturally becomes a way to connect with people and celebrate life. It is a creative outlet that gives me the freedom to explore and discover artistic surprises. Being fortunate to have traveled to 30+ countries including an adventure-packed year of backpacking with my awesome husband; some of my most memorable moments include an impromptu two hour ride in the back of a rusty milk truck along the twisting mountain roads of Ecuador or sleeping in a local's cozy home in a small charming town in Turkey.
Currently residing in Macedonia, a gem within the Balkans.
Life is like a plate of good hawker street food...meant to be experienced and savored till the last morsel. ♡
